Compass is challenging this status quo with a Three-Phase Marketing Strategy designed to maximize demand while protecting the seller’s interests.
Phase 1: Private Exclusive
This phase allows agents to validate the price and build anticipation without the property officially being "on the market".
It serves as a critical tool to prevent "digital baggage"—the negative perception caused by public price-drops or high days-on-market (DOM).
Phase 2: Coming Soon (Redfin & Compass)
Listings are syndicated to Redfin.com and Compass.com, reaching over 60 million potential buyers.
Crucially, these listings appear without DOM or price-drop history, allowing for a "testing phase" with broad-based exposure.
Phase 3: Broad Market Launch
The property finally hits the MLS and all other portals.
By this time, the price is validated, interest has already been built, and the agent can launch with maximum momentum.

The Compass-Rocket partnership is currently live for Compass agents and will roll out to all brands within the Compass International Holdings portfolio—including Coldwell Banker, Century 21, and Sotheby’s—in the coming weeks.
